from BERNAMA, The Malaysian National News Agency KUCHING, Nov 8 (Bernama) -- The shallowness of the Sungai Balui on the upstream of the Bakun Hydro-electric Dam in Belaga due to the impoundment of the dam would only be temporary in nature, said Public Utility Minister Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan today.

He said the water level would rise when the water impoundment level reached the minimum operations level of 195 metres within a period of eight months and this would enable more water to be released from the Bakun Dam.
