AS a mother of three school-going children, I am concerned over the transition from English to Bahasa Malaysia in teaching Science and Maths.
When I was in Standard One in 1970, it was the first year Bahasa Malaysia was introduced as the medium of instruction.
When I entered Universiti Sains Malaysia in 1983, my course (Computer Science) was also in Bahasa Malaysia. We had a tough time with the reference books.
