Hanoi, 31 October: Russia does not raise the issue to fully restore the naval base in Cam Ranh, Vietnam, a Russian presidential administration official told ITAR-TASS.

Russia has material and technical support stations for its Navy in many countries. They are known - from the Maldive Islands on the one-time basis to Syria, the official reminded.

Naturally, the Vietnamese are interested in maximum capitalisation of what was done by them and Russians, he said. "But I do not think we must raise the question of restoration of the base," he added.
