Australia's development assistance to East Timor will be better targeted following the review of Australian-funded adviser positions. Foreign Minister Kevin Rudd said today that the East Timor review is part of a comprehensive review of the use of advisers across the entire Australian aid programme.
"Well-targeted technical advice does have a role to play in aid delivery, but the Australian government is committed to ensuring value-for-money across all development assistance programmes" said Mr Rudd.
