Norwegian local power utility and fibre network owner LOS Bynett (LOS) has selected broadband access equipment provider Zhone Technologies' MXK multi-service access node (MSAN) system. LOS, a division of Agder Energi, will integrate Zhone's intelligent FTTx access platform into its network to enhance its fibre build out and offering in the Kristiansand region. After testing, LOS has begun to integrate the MXK platform into its OSS system and deploy the system in the field which, upon completion, will improve capacity of LOS' triple-play service for subscribers in the region.
