SA urged not to be 'obsessed' with Bric Trade and Diplomatic Correspondent CAPE TOWN SA's bid to join one of the leading emerging market groups came under attack from trade policy experts yesterday.

SA is campaigning to be admitted to the Brazil, Russia, India and China (Bric) bloc of countries, in the belief that joining Bric will open up new markets for exports. However, yesterday at a South African Institute of International Affairs trade forum, some trade policy experts disputed this belief.
