from BUSINESS LINE, October 23, 2010 Bangalore, Oct. 22 - Even if the flow of deals in the IT sector is good now, it has not reached the pre-crisis levels seen in 2007, according to Mr Girish Paranjpe, Joint CEO - IT Business, Wipro Ltd.

"Pre-crisis, the deals were happening at a much higher rate primarily because the overhang of the macro-economic uncertainty wasn't there. Till that goes away and unemployment in the US falls to a normal rate, it is not easy to say we are back to the 2007 levels," he said.

Commitments in phases Commenting on the size of deals, Mr Paranjpe said clients are still not willing to enter into multi-year, multi- stage deals.
