REIGNING World 9-Ball champion Francisco "Django" Bustamante and former World 9-ball and 8-ball champion Efren "Bata" Reyes nailed their third straight wins to keep the Philippine flag high yesterday at the 35th Annual US Open 9-Ball Championship at the Chesapeake Conference Center in Virginia, USA.

The Tarlac City native Bustamante subdued Oscar Dominguez of Mexico (11-6) while the Angeles City, Pampanga ace Reyes trounced Tomoo Takano of Japan (11-2).

With the win, Bustamante goes up against compatriot Ramil "Bebeng" Gallego in the next round. Gallego brought down Manny Chau of Peru (11-10). Fellow Puyat Sports stablemate Reyes, …
