The Domestic Nuclear Detection Office (DNDO) has awarded multi-million dollar contracts to Canberra Industries, SCI Technology, Inc., and Science Applications International Corp. [SAI] for research, development, design and demonstration of and Advanced Radiation Monitoring Device (ARMD). Canberra, a division of France's AREVA Group, received a $4.4 million award to fund the evaluation of the key technologies and system requirements with a bias toward detection and identification with practical usability.
