from BERNAMA, The Malaysian National News Agency KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 7 (Bernama) -- The Social Welfare Department allocates RM2.3 million to 14 non-governmental organisations which provide shelter homes and protection for unwedded mothers in the country.
Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil said the fund was provided as an incentive for the NGOs.
She said the shelter homes, which were set up since 1975, were monitored by the Social Welfare Department to ensure they meet all the stipulated requirements …
