Yesterday the Nobel Committee announced that this year's Nobel Peace Prize goes to the Chinese "dissident" Liu Xiaobo. In response to this, China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Liu Xiaobo's actions run counter to the goals of the Nobel Peace Prize. The Nobel Committee has completely violated the goals of and has desecrated the Peace Prize by awarding the prize to such an individual.
