Seoul, Oct. 11 (Yonhap) - South Korea's chief consular affairs ambassador called in Uzbekistan's ambassador in Seoul and lodged a strong protest Monday after Uzbek authorities raided a South Korean-run golf club in the country for unclear reasons, the ministry said.

A team of security, customs, tax and police officials in Uzbekistan raided the Lakeside Golf Club in Tashkent on Saturday when a friendly golf competition was under way to mark the 20th anniversary of a Korean firm's presence in the country, according to the ministry.
