Tajik agency video clip calls to stop violence.

The private Tajik news agency Avesta, through a video clip, calls on the Tajik people to stop violence in the country's east and start negotiations.

The video says the killing of 28 servicemen of the Tajik Defence Ministry on 19 September prompted a large-scale operation in the Kamarob gorge in the eastern Rasht valley.

The video appears to have been filmed on a mobile phone in a mountainous area by a serviceman on the scene after the incident. It demonstrates the fact that "the lorry of the government forces run into an ambush and was fired at from all directions" the agency says. "Therefore, our servicemen practically had no chances to survive," the agency adds. …
