from BERNAMA, The Malaysian National News Agency KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 30 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Rugby Union (MRU) has decided to bar foreign players from the Agong's Cup national championship starting this year.

MRU tournament director Major Khalid Hamzah said the 28th edition of the Agong's Cup would be opened to more states following the MRU council's decision.

"We hope will unearth talented players who can be groomed to represent the country and help move up the world ranking as Malaysia are currently 57 in the International Rugby Board's list," he said in a statement today.
