Section: General News - Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said that Washington's attempt to revive so called 'peace talks' as well as its tough stance against Iran is part of a political game by US President Barack Obama to placate US public opinion.

"A month before the midterm congressional vote, [US President Barack] Obama suddenly wants to solve the Palestinian issue, in a way seeking to placate US public opinion," Mottaki stated.

"Of course Obama has been instigated to adopt a tough stance against Iran and revive the case for Palestine at the same time," he added.
