Fresh information reaching ThisDay last night point to the fact that the British government had intelligence of the attacks before they happened and shared its findings with the relevant Nigerian security agencies.

Sources in the Presidency confirmed that British intelligence authorities got wind of the planned attacks and forewarned the Nigerian government of the planned attacks.

But somehow, Nigerian security operatives failed to disrupt the plot. It was unclear however if this was connected to the raid on the home of Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND) leader, Henry …
