On Wednesday I relayed the tale of how a video in praise of independent mayoral candidate Lutfur Rahman underwent a spot of swift re-editing, and related the decision of Respect to expel a senior party member for engaging in online chat deemed "indicative of anti-Semitism." The latter episode was of relevance to the Rahman campaign because Respect is backing him while fielding no candidate of its own. Given that concerns about anti-semitism in Tower Hamlets politics are not uncommon I asked if Rahman would disassociate himself from such attitudes.
