A woman was seriously hurt and more than 100 animals stolen when raiders attacked a village in Turkana West District.

The more than 100 attackers, suspected to be Toposa tribesmen from Southern Sudan, stormed Nanan area and engaged police reservists in a shootout before fleeing with the animals.

The woman sustained a serious gunshot wound and is being treated at a Lokichoggio hospital. The attack happened as a Kenyan security team returned more than 100 goats and sheep to Southern Sudan …
