Section: General News - Malacanang clarified its ally ex-senator Mar Roxas secured official clearance to attend the United Nations General Assembly meeting which President Benigno Aquino III addressed in New York last week.

"The former senator had his own identification card (ID) for that event," presidential spokesperson Edwin Lacierda said Monday during a Palace briefing.

Such clarification came amidst rumors Roxas was able to attend the event by using the ID card of and presenting himself as Philippine education chief Armin Luistro.
