from BERNAMA, The Malaysian National News Agency KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 22 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Airline System Employees Union (MASEU) pointed out today that, diminishing the government's role in business, would create uncertainties in the market.

MASEU believes the government has to have some control of the stake in major and important businesses in the country, especially for Government-Linked Companies (GLCs).

GLCs, it said, are key agencies mandated to drive shareholder value creation, efficiency gains and enhance corporate governance, in leading the way towards enhancing the country's economy.
