Tajik Defence Ministry raps media for "provocative" reports amid ambush.

Tajik Defence Ministry staff has criticized certain local media outlets for provocative coverage of the recent armed assault on the government forces in eastern Rasht District.

A convoy of the government forces came under an armed assault by unidentified group in the Kamarob gorge in Rasht District 19 September.

In a special programme prepared by the press centre of the Tajik Defence Ministry, Faridun Mahmadaliyev, the spokesman of the ministry, said provocative articles were published in a number of newspapers and magazines after the incident occurred.

"Provocative reports were spread in media outlets which said that allegedly not qualified and not experienced servicemen were sent to this district.
