The Financial Institutions Development Fund (FIDF) is seeking the state attorney's opinion whether it should appeal against the Civil Court's ruling nullifying its 2003 sale of land on Ratchadaphisek Road to former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra's ex-wife, Khunying Pojaman na Pombejra.

The recommendation from the Office of the Attorney-General will be placed before the FIDF board when it meets in mid-October, said fund manager Thongurai Limpiti.

"Whatever the recommendation, it will be discussed at the board meeting," she said. If the fund does not appeal, it will have to return Bt772 million at 7.5 per cent interest per annum.
