Jump start to BMX cycle track project.

WORK on a BMX cycle track for Lampeter could begin as early as November after the project was approved in principle.

The dirt track and jumps will be constructed on the town's Maesyderi Field and a detailed plan with costings is currently being put together with the help of independent cycle experts.

The project -- suggested by town youngsters -- is expected to cost GBP500, with an extra GBP200 to cover insurance. Maesyderi Field is leased by Lampeter Town Council from Ceredigion Council and the field's management committee will be asked to rubberstamp final plans in about six weeks time. Management …
