Kenyan authorities have handed over three guns and cattle to Uganda. The animals were were grabbed from Nakapiripirit district a month ago by suspected cattle rustlers.
The North Pokot district officer, Joash Abongo, on Friday said Uganda and Kenya needed a lasting solution to cattle raids.
"We want peace. We as Kenyans have decided to hand over the stolen weapons and animals. We are fed up of unruly pastoralists," he said.
Abongo was speaking at the handover ceremony of the weapons and eight head of cattle, which were stolen by the Pokot, at Nasal village, Alale Division in North Pokot district in Kenya.
