Fraser Hamilton buys Agfa's Avalon platesetter in chemistry-free move.

North London-based Fraser Hamilton has taken delivery of an Agfa Avalon N4 platesetter as part of an ongoing environmental push.

The N4 machine replaces an Agfa Palladio CTP system at the Seven Sisters-based company, which has recently moved to chemistry-free plate output.

The 22-staff business is using the Avalon machine to produce Agfa Azura TS plates for its Komori and Heidelberg B2 press set-up.

Fraser Hamilton, which has become ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 accredited in the past 18 months, has linked the new system to its Agfa Apogee workflow.
