THE STOCK market extended its winning streak for the sixth straight day yesterday, soaring to a 34-month high on the back of last-minute buying of property stocks and within-range inflation in August.
The Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) rose by 0.84% or 31.41 points to 3,775.42, while the broader all shares index rose by 0.47% or 11 points to 2,368.36.
In a statement, the local bourse said the PSEi's performance yesterday was the best finish in 34 months, or since Nov. 8, 2007, when it hit 3,692.10.
