Discovery forecasts UK upswing as SA boosts profit TAMAR KAHN Science and Health Editor CAPE TOWN SA's biggest health and insurance company, Discovery Holdings, said yesterday it expects a potentially profitable upswing in private medical insurance in the UK over the next few years, as spending cuts to the National Health Service (NHS) prompt more people to seek private cover. This will be a reversal of the current trend, which has cut into Discovery UK's earnings.
