The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Government of India, plans to extend telecom services to Naxal- affected areas. It has directed Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) to set up 500 base stations in 31 districts of Bihar, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand.
