Exxonmobil Terminated the Purchase Agreement Not Kosmos, CJA Alleges.

The Committee for Joint Action, an Accra-based pressure group, has alleged that it was not Kosmos that terminated the sales and purchase agreement of the oil deal with Exxon Mobil but rather it was Exxon Mobil that terminated the agreement with Kosmos.
According to the CJA, the transaction would have been sealed by September 1, but ExxonMobil decided to discontinue with Kosmos despite having "pulled all stops over the last few months in the US and Ghana to have the transaction with Kosmos accepted by the government and the Ghana National Petroleum Cooperation (GNPC)."
