Will anyone really be sorry to see the sultry summer of 2010 disappear? I won't, although it was full of TV events I thought I would never see, such as NHK declining to air the Nagoya sumo tournament live. There's still no word yet on whether the sumo world has repented enough to be granted live broadcasts of its autumn tournament, which begins on Sept. 12. I called NHK, but was told no decision will be announced until September.
