THE First Monster Challenge will add an extra event, aimed at families and children, to its big race day proceedings on September 11.

Inspired by and based on the First Monster Challenge, the 120k team relay duathlon around the shores of Loch Ness, organisers FirstGroup will add the Mini Monster to its mix of events.

The race will consist of a simple one-mile run/jog/ walk or cycle.

Competitors can use their feet, cycle, scoot or be pushed.

Starting at Queens Park Stadium, Inverness, the one-mile course leads out of the park and includes a loop of the rugby club fields. …
