Are we doing enough for Pakistan flood victims?

FLOODING has devastated Pakistan and the disaster is said to be the worst the country has experienced in years.

Medical teams have been rushing to the deluged North West amid fears that cholera could rapidly spread.

The disaster has forced two million people to flee their homes.

The UN appealed last week for GBP293 million for immediate relief efforts. So far it has received 40 per cent of that amount.

Readers of the Scunthorpe Telegraph were asked if they thought enough was being done to help the victims of Pakistan's floods.

Voters on the Scunthorpe Telegraph's website were divided, with 56 per cent saying there was enough help and 44 per cent disagreeing.
