Nigerian president appoints new energy council secretary.

President Goodluck Jonathan has appointed Mr Ibrahim Shehu NJedda as the new secretary of the National Energy Council in his bid to sustain the momentum of the ongoing reform in the oil and gas sector.
NJedda will also function as the president's senior special assistant on energy partnerships.
A statement signed by Secretary to the Government of the Federation Alhaji Mahmud Yayale Ahmed, indicated that the appointment has taken effect since 4 August 2010.
