Probably only a small number of people in the city know him by name, but anyone who is familiar with Jakarta's "hero" architecture has seen his work. Some of Jakarta's most famous monuments, including the "Welcome" statue at the Hotel Indonesia traffic circle and the Free West Papua statue at Lapangan Banteng Square in Central Jakarta are but two of his most celebrated works.
