NIBONG TEBAL: A company engaged in sand-mining activities is to sue five Seberang Prai Municipal councillors for RM5 million for alleging that it was conducting illegal quarrying activities.
Foon Cent Sdn Bhd project manager Kamaruddin Harun said the company had instructed its lawyer to prepare the documents and proceed with the legal action.
At a press conference at the company's sand mining site in Valdor, Sungai Bakap yesterday, Kamaruddin said the company had been losing RM10,000 daily since it was slapped with a "stop work" order by MPSP.
