Section: General News - Cuban President Raul Castro affirmed his intention to strengthen bilateral cooperative ties with China on his reception of Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi on August 1.

Cuban revolutionary leader Fidel Castro, who was present on the occasion also expressed his pleasure at the fine cooperative relations and traditional friendship between the two countries since the establishment of diplomatic ties in September, 1960.
