A MUCH-LOVED and respected priest is saying a final farewell to a Swansea city centre church this weekend.

Reverend Canon Andrew Vessey will celebrate his final service at St Mary's Church from 10am tomorrow, before he and his wife Anna retire to their beloved Suffolk.

His spokesman Lyndon Morris said: "Although Canon Vessey has been vicar of St Mary's for only five years, he and Anna have made a very significant contribution to life and witness both at St Mary's Church and in the wider community throughout Swansea.
