YOUNG golfers aspiring to one day compete in the Ryder Cup will be able to take part in their own tournament.

The Welsh Mini Masters -- designed for beginners -- will also raise cash for homeless charity Shelter Cymru.

Andrew Jones, fundraising manager, said: "We already run a very successful championship aimed at the developing golfer and this year thanks to the support of people such as Bradley Dredge, we again raised more than GBP15,000.

"This time, the GBP5 entry fee will go to charity.
