T he name of John Rowswell may not mean much to you but if you're a garlic lover it's worth noting down. For John is probably the region's largest producer of the stuff.

Acres of plump, juicy garlic are currently being harvested, dried and strung down on his South Somerset farm - and he's even planning a garlic festival in a few weeks to celebrate a remarkable crop.
