I may be old, naive and possibly a little stupid but I must ask a few questions regarding David Cameron's National Citizen Service.

Where will these two-month summer residential courses be held? Will someone build a barracks with all modern conveniences, air conditioned, and television, or will it be a 16-bed Nissen hut with wash house and toilets 100 yards away? If the former, it could be used as a prison for the other ten months of the year. Who will do the cooking and cleaning? And what security will there be? Perhaps a guardroom, and …
