Quota seen for civil servants from private sector

The National Personnel Authority will likely set a quota, starting in fiscal 2012, of people with experience working in the private sector and those with graduate degrees to be hired under the national civil service examination, NPA sources said.

In recent years, talented new university graduates have tended to work for foreign companies or attend graduate school, instead of applying for jobs at government offices. The new recruitment policy is meant to help rectify this situation.

The NPA plans to include the measure in its annual recommendations on wage hikes and other working conditions …
