Section: Business News - The Asian Development Bank and three major Thai banks have approved an 8 billion baht loan for the construction of the world's largest solar power plant, in Lopburi province.

The Asian Development Bank has partnered with Kasikorn Bank, Bangkok Bank, and Siam Commercial Bank in approving an 8 billion baht loan for the construction of the Natural Energy Development Company's 73-megawatt solar power plant in Koksamrong district, Lopburi province.

The construction will begin in August, and the plant will be completed and online by the end of 2011.
