THE DEPARTMENTS of Finance, and Budget and Management will propose to standardize pay packages, allowances and bonuses for officials of state firms and institutions to prevent financial excesses, a senior official said yesterday.

"[The proposal] will indicate a range of acceptable packages pay as well as allowances. In the case of the MWSS (Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System) they had the whole gamut of allowances," Finance Secretary Cesar V. Purisima said in chance interview at the Palace.
