Bangkok plays host to a centrepiece of international volleyball from August 13 to 15, with the top women's teams competing in the annual Federbrau World Grand Prix at the Thai-Japan Youth Welfare Centre.

Twelve teams, including defending and eight-time champions Brazil, World Grand Champions Cup winners Italy, the US and Asian powerhouses China will battle it out for the US 1.4-million prize money and top honours.

The top five teams and hosts China will grab berths for the WGP Finals in Ningbo between August 25 and 29 after the three-week round-robin group preliminaries.
