Power users are set to start receiving lower electricity bills - more so in two months time. The lower cost of power is due to the progressive reduction in the supply to the national grid by temporary power producer Aggreko.

As we went to press, the UK firm was injecting just a quarter of the load it had been supplying at the height of one Kenya's severest droughts that lasted up to early this year.

It is expected to pack up its generators and haul them off to the next power crisis spot on the globe by November much to the relief of industrialists and commercial users.
