But what are the Twitterati thinking? That was a serious question asked on the BBC's Today programme this week - and it was one I thought far more interesting than the subject the journalists were really talking about, which happened to be the lacklustre Labour leadership contest.

My impression is that most Western Morning News readers would fall into two groups given the curious question: many would say: "Who cares what the Twitterati are thinking?" and an equal number would ask: "What is the Twitterati?"
