CORPORATE: UTV Software posts Rs 40.2-cr net profit.(Financial report)

from BUSINESS LINE, July 16, 2010 Mumbai, July 15 - UTV Software Communications has reported a net profit of Rs 40.2 crore for the quarter ended June 30, against a loss of Rs 31.8 crore in the same period last year.

Thanks to Prakash Jha's Raajneeti, revenues were up 132 per cent at Rs 208.2 crore (Rs 89.8 crore). Consequently, the movies segment, comprising film production, distribution (domestic and international) and home entertainment reported business of Rs 110.8 crore (Rs 26.5 crore) and 56 per cent to overall revenue.
