The letter by your correspondent John Rogers regarding First Great Western's attitude to mobility scooters is surely unfair. I hope he read the letter on the same page by Terry Hughes, where the rail industry's very fair and balanced attitude to scooters is clearly spelled out.
Mr Rogers himself says "They are designed for the pavement, not the road". Precisely, and certainly not for travelling on trains. In fact I would say they constitute a danger to other passengers.
