It is exciting to be able to add Back and Forthto the catalogue of contemporary women's stories being told through pictures. Marta Chudolinska takes her place alongside graphic novel artists such as German illustrator Anke Feuchtenberger, author of W The Whore and W The Whore Makes Her Tracks, Israeli comic artist Rutu Modan of Exit Wounds and Jetlag, and Iranian graphic novelist Marjane Satrapi, author of Persepolis and Embroideries.
