If women would just shut the fuck up, things would be so much easier.

Prime Minister Stephen Harper could be seen as a saviour of dark-skinned mothers and their babies in faraway countries, and perhaps boost his support from female voters at home, too.

But what a lot of people discovered in the lead-up to the G8 is that when it comes to human reproduction and maternal health, nothing is automatically safe and everything comes with a risk. It's a lot like politics.
